A More Connected Pilates Experience
At Pilates Speakeasy, the Konnector® is at the heart of what makes our classes different. This system connects the arm and leg straps on our Reformers through one continuous rope, creating an interactive connection between your arms, legs, and core.
Experience the Konnector® Difference
The Konnector® brings the whole body into every movement, adding new dimensions of stability, coordination, and control—even to familiar exercises. Beginners can build a strong foundation, while experienced clients may discover entirely new challenges. As one limb moves, you explore how the rest of your body responds.
Our teaching brings that experience into focus. Clear guidance, purposeful sequences, and adaptable options help you understand what you’re doing and why. Throughout your practice, we emphasize breath, alignment, and thoughtful progression to help you build strength and move with confidence.
This attention to connection includes patterns used in everyday activities such as walking, reaching, and turning.

How the Konnector® Changes Your Practice
The Konnector®’s connected rope system makes the relationship between your movements something you can feel. Moving an arm or leg influences the shared system, inviting you to notice how you stabilize, distribute effort, and coordinate your body.
Exercises can explore limbs moving together, independently, or in alternating patterns. This brings attention to timing, balance, and the relationship between your upper and lower body. Even a familiar exercise can offer a new challenge through a change in movement pattern.
Applying the Konnect Method® to Pilates
The Konnect Method® emphasizes how your body works together during movement. In Pilates, we explore that connection through three areas:
-
Integrated movement: Use your arms, legs, and trunk together, exploring whole-body patterns such as reaching, walking, and turning.
-
Coordination and Control: Develop timing, smooth movement, and balanced effort as your limbs move together or independently.
-
Body awareness: Notice your position, the resistance you feel, and how movement in one area influences another. Use that feedback to adjust with your instructor’s guidance.
These principles guide each exercise, with attention to breath, alignment, and transitions between movements. The Konnector® makes these connections something you can feel. Its shared rope system gives you opportunities to develop a foundation, feel integration of your whole body, and later, explore movement with attention to breath, alignment, and purposeful transitions.
why it matters
A strong Pilates practice is not built by rushing toward harder exercises. It develops by understanding how your body organizes movement, how exercises connect, and how to progress with control.
You’ll also develop the body awareness and confidence to work more independently, understand instructor cues, and adapt movement to what your body needs that day. These skills make every Pilates class safer, stronger, and more effective—and support better movement beyond the studio.

Stand tall. Move with intention. Discover what’s possible.
PiLeXability™
PiLeXability™ is Pilates-based movement training designed for youth athletes (
Using Pilates equipment and purposeful movement challenges, participants learn to create strength throughout their range of motion, organize their bodies more efficiently, and connect the core with the arms and legs. Each class can be adapted to support different sports, activities, experience levels, and movement goals.
PiLeXability complements sport or dance training rather than replacing it. Practice develops the skills of the activity; PiLeXability develops the body the young athlete brings to it.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Jennifer Miller, RN, MSN · Polestar Pilates–Comprehensively Trained · Practitioner of Pilates for Rehabilitation
Clinical perspective. Thoughtful instruction. Movement that makes sense.

My nursing career began in intensive care, where I spent 14 years developing the close observation, clear communication, and attention to subtle changes that the environment demands.
Those skills continue to shape the way I teach: noticing how each client responds to movement, explaining the purpose behind what we are doing, and making thoughtful adjustments for the person in front of me.
I am certified through Polestar Pilates as a Clinical Rehabilitation Pilates instructor. Polestar’s movement science– and rehabilitation-informed approach emphasizes biomechanics, assessment, thoughtful cueing, appropriate modification, and the ability to adapt movement to the person performing it.
That perspective comes into every class at Pilates Speakeasy. I pay attention to how you respond to the equipment, where movement may be coming from, and which changes might help you find greater connection, efficiency, or control. Sometimes that means providing additional support. Other times, it means finding a more precise or demanding challenge.
I created Pilates Speakeasy to offer a different kind of group experience: small enough for clients to be seen, varied enough to remain interesting, and thoughtful enough for every movement to have a purpose.
My goal is for you to leave each class with a positive movement experience—one that engages your whole body, offers meaningful insight into how you move, and gives you something useful to carry into everyday life beyond the studio.
A PERSONAL CONNECTION TO HYPERMOBILITY
I also live with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), so my understanding of hypermobility and is personal as well as informed by my nursing and movement-education background.
I understand that having a greater range of motion does not always mean having the strength, stability, or control to support that range. This perspective influences how I observe movement, introduce challenge, and help clients develop greater awareness and support around their joints.
Clients with EDS or Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD) can expect their experiences and concerns to be heard. Movement is adapted thoughtfully, with attention to the individual rather than assumptions based solely on flexibility or appearance.

Every Body. Every Stage. Every Goal
